Meet Amy Bloom, author of the New York Times bestselling novels Away and Lucky Us. Her latest, White Houses, is a remarkable piece of historical fiction about the unexpected and forbidden affair between Eleanor Roosevelt and Lorena Hickok. Bloom is also the author of three stunning collections of short stories including Come to Me, a National Book Award finalist, and A Blind Man Can See How Much I Love You, a National Book Critics Circle Award nominee.
Bloom’s stories have appeared in Best American Short Stories, Prize Stories: The O. Henry Awards, and numerous anthologies here and abroad. She has written for The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic Monthly, among many other publications, and has won a National Magazine Award for Fiction.
