Dava Sobel

Dava Sobel is a former New York Times science reporter and critically acclaimed author of five books, including the Bestsellers LongitudeGalileo's Daughter, and The Planets. Her most recent, The Glass Universe: How Ladies of the Harvard Observatory Took the Measure of the Stars, tells the little-known true story of the women whose contributions to astronomy forever changed our understanding of the stars. The book was nominated for the 2017 Pen/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award and was named one of the best of 2016 by NPR, The EconomistSmithsonian, and more.
