Meet Ben Fountain, author of Beautiful Country Burn Again: Democracy, Rebellion and Revolution. In a sweeping work of reportage set over the course of 2016, the New York Times best-selling author recounts a surreal year of politics and an exploration of the third American existential crisis. In an urgent and deeply incisive voice, Fountain has fused history and the present day to paint a startling portrait of the state of our nation.

Fountain is also the author of Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, winner of the National Book Critics' Circle Award and a finalist for the National Book Award. His short story collection, Brief Encounters with Che Guevara, was a national best-seller and a winner of the PEN/Hemingway Award for Fiction.

Fountain will be joined at this event by Thrity Umrigar, a professor of English at Case Western Reserve University and best-selling author of eight novels, a memoir and a children's picture book.

Books will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of Mac's Backs - Books on Coventry.
