Margaret McMullan is the author of eight award-winning books, including In My Mother’s House, Aftermath Lounge and Every Father’s Daughter, a collection of essays about fathers by great women writers such as Alice Munro, Ann Hood and Jane Smiley. McMullan’s young adult novels, How I Found the Strong, When I Crossed No-Bob and Sources of Light, have received best book awards from Parents’ Choice, School Library Journal, the American Library Association and Booklist.
In McMullan's latest memoir, Where the Angels Lived, she writes about discovering a long-lost relative and her subsequent travels and research to unearth the history of her Jewish- Hungarian ancestors in the years leading up to the Holocaust.
