Ticketed Event - $25
Howard Schultz is the former chairman and chief executive officer of Starbucks Coffee Company. He grew up in Brooklyn public housing and was the first in his family to graduate college. After founding a small cafe business, he bought Starbucks, which grew from eleven stores to more than 28,000 under his leadership.
His new book, From the Ground Up: A Journey to Reimagine the Promise of America, is part candid memoir, part uplifting blueprint of mutual responsibility, and part proof that ordinary people can do extraordinary things. This bold, dramatic work documents the new responsibilities that leaders, businesses, and citizens share in American society today, as well as Schultz’s vision of what we can be when we try our best to lead lives through the lens of humanity.
Each ticket includes a seat at the author’s talk, a pre-signed copy of From the Ground Up, and a donation to the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation.
Please note: All tickets will be held at the door; no physical tickets will be mailed. There will not be a book signing at this event.
